A bamboo computer?

That’s right. Dell has just announced an Eco-computer with bamboo casing. Filled with materials from recycled products, it is 81 percent smaller than typical desktops and uses 70 percent less energy. The Eco computers are expected to come out later this year and cost between $500 - $700.

Yay, Dell! I would have expected this from Apple, but you are showing yourself a leader by thinking about our environment - all while keeping your products affordable.

In case you didn’t know, computers and other e-waste are big problems. About 220 million tons of old computers and other tech hardware are trashed in the United States each year (EPA, 2001).
